For the moment that
deserves a portrait.
A grad. A thirtieth. A divorce. A reinvention. The chapter doesn't have to be tidy — it just has to matter to you. We make the room for it.
Grad, 30th, divorce, regrowth — anything worth marking.
People used to sit for portraits to mark the moments their lives turned. We still think that's a good idea. The session is for you. The print is for your wall.
A few from the last few months.
One sitting. The file goes wherever you need it.
The why behind the booking.
Three concrete outcomes. If one of these is the reason you’re here, this is the right room.
A portrait that says “this version of me.”
Not aspirational, not retouched into someone else — the actual you, on a day you sat for it.
A confidence reset, not a dress-up session.
The whole hour is calm and unhurried. You leave knowing what you look like to other people.
Something to print and keep.
Print product is part of the package. The frame on the wall is the point.

Signature Session · 60 min · 1 outfit · 5 retouched images. Includes one print, online gallery, and the right to do nothing with the photos but enjoy them.
Add-on: hair & makeup with a partnered local artist on request. Add-on: bring a friend along to keep you company while we set up.
The studio is private, climate-controlled, and quiet. You can request the music. You can ask for a break. You can ask to redo any frame, any time.
What they said after.
I booked a session because I was about to turn forty and I didn't recognise myself in any of the photos on my phone. I left with three I framed and one I sent to my mother.
I had not had my photo taken on purpose since my wedding. I went in nervous and left feeling like I'd done something brave. The portraits are a side benefit.
Asked & answered.
I hate being photographed — should I book?
Probably yes. Most of our clients say the same thing on the way in. The whole studio is set up for people who don't think of themselves as photogenic. You'll see every frame as we make it. You can stop, redo, or change tack at any moment.
Can I bring a friend for moral support?
Yes. A lot of people do. We'll set them up with a coffee and a corner so you can hear them but the camera can't.
Do you offer hair & makeup?
Yes — by referral to a partnered local artist. Add-on, billed transparently. Optional.
How private is the studio?
Very. Sessions are by appointment, one client at a time. Doors are closed. No drop-ins. No other shoots overlapping.
Tell us about your session.
One short form. Ian replies, usually the same day. We'll set up a 15-minute call to make sure the room is right for the moment you're marking.
